Hwntw's are as much brain washed by 'Gogcentric' (I contributed to that too) as 'Saiscentric' history or otherwise by now we might have seen Llywelyn Bren Commemorations and memorials at Caerffili, Ystrad Fellte and Cardiff but no? no ones bothered! Myself included often enough traipsed up to Cilmeri annually to Cofia 11 Rhagfyr 1282 but how many 'Hwntws' bother to remember 18 March 1315 and the capture of Llywelyn Bren, later to be executed in Caerdydd. I have myself readressed this lack of Southern awareness as to their history, not least the ignorence of pobl Caerffili who care nought for their 'local hero' and rather see a statue of Tommy Cooper more fit to stand in their town square. Yes! Pretty pathetic to say the least but my 'Hwntw' patriotic conscience is clear and I am not even from Caerffili, where are you 'Cheese Makers?' why not at least a few of you make effort to make it to Ystrad Fellte this year, perhaps this Griday 18 March 2011 to place wreaths, floral tributes and 'Ivy Crosses' in rememberance of the sacrifice of Llywelyn Bren and commemorative of this last major Welsh revolt prior to that of Owain Glyndwr in 1404, though mindful of the Northern Troubles of 1345 and the St Valentines Day Massacre. Be mindful of fact that the descendants of Llywelyn Bren fought for both Llywelyn III and Owain Glyndwr, so feel it entirely appropriate for 'Gogs' to make tributes to Llywelyn Bren as 'Hwntws' do regards Llywelyn III and Owain IV.

A good place to leave tributes at would be around the Millenium Stone in the Ystrad Fellte Car Park.
